The Pennsy Greenway is a rail trail that runs from Lansing, Illinois to Schererville, Indiana in the Chicago metropolitan area. The trail follows the former Penn Central Railway and is currently unfinished, though it is paved in Lansing, Munster, and Schererville. The trail is paved for 7.9 miles[1] through these segments, with a total length of 15 miles planned.

The Pennsy Greenway is a trail that connects Calumet City, Illinois to Rohrman Park in Schererville, Indiana. For the time being, the trail is divided into three sections, but plans are being considered to continue working on connecting the trail system as a whole. The Schererville section of the Pennsy Greenway runs from Wilhelm Street near the Police Department, through Redar Park, under US 30, and ends at Rohrman Park. This section of the Pennsy Greenway is about 2.1 miles long.

There is parking on Reiplinger Road near the Police Station and the Schererville Skate Park, as well as at Redar Park and Rohrman Park. Sand Ridge Nature Center is a wonderful place to visit.
